PASTOR RAYMOND H. PERRY

Senior Pastor

Pastor Perry is a native of Ennis, Texas and attended EISD schools. He graduated high school in 1978.

Upon graduation he attended Tyler Junior College and later transferred to Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas to complete his Nursing Degree.

He proclaims that nursing played a vital role for his love for God’s people. Pastor Perry is married to Lois Perry and they have three children: Kathryne, Jordyn, and William.

Pastor Perry accepted his calling to the Gospel Ministry in 2001 under the stewardship of Dr. Terry M. Turner of the Mesquite Friendship Baptist Church. There he served various roles including Minister of Pastoral and Congregational Care and was later elevated to the role of Service and Worship leader of this 2500 member congregation. He was ordained in 2003 and completed his Bachelor Degree in 2005 with the Lake Charles Bible Institute. He has future plans to complete his Masters in Christian Education at Dallas Baptist University.

Being Spirit lead, Trinity Friendship Baptist Church was established in April 2008 through the cooperative support of MFBC, DBA, and the SBTC in an effort to carry out the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20.

Knowing that Church planting is a difficult task, we look to our Lord to supply our every need and we vow to “Stand on the Promises of God.”

OUR MISSION

Trinity Friendship Baptist Church exist to advance the Kingdom of God by providing an avenue for corporate worship and to be an institute of higher learning so that individuals may grow in spiritual maturity and so they may better be able to fulfill the Great Commission by equipping believers for the purpose of evangelism, outreach, and Christian discipleship. To be servant leaders to reach our families, our friends, our community and the uttermost parts of the world.

We Envision:

  • Ministry that equips all ages through Bible study and worship to live a life that glorifies God.

  • A place of worship where believers may discover and use their spiritual gifts to advance the Kingdom of God.

  • A multi-purpose center that ministers to the needs of our community and members.

  • Developing small groups of believers to reach out to our community.

  • Developing believers so that they may be equipped to present the gospel and defend the faith based on accurate biblical principles.

  • A family ministry that strengthens the family with dependence on God’s word.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative eternal Word of God. II Timothy 3:16, 17; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter 1:21; Isaiah 40:8 ; Psalms 119:80, 160

We believe that there is one triune God, eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:9-11; John 5:18; 23; 10:29, 30; Psalms 139:7; I Corinthians 2:10,11;Hebrews 1:5-12

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in His power and glory. We believe for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, the regeneration of the Holy Spirit is essential. Salvation is by faith alone through grace. Justification and sanctification are the works of the Holy Spirit in those who trust in Jesus Christ. John 3:5,6; Ephesian 2:8; Galatian 3:2-3; I Peter 1:2

We believe in obeying the “Great Commission” in the spirit of the “Great Commandment,” Matthew 22:37-38 Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.”

We believe that marriage and family are institutions ordained by the Lord God Himself from the very beginning of human history and these are sacred institutions. Marriage is between one man and one woman.
Any other definition of marriage is in opposition to the teachings of the Holy Bible. Genesis 1:27-28; 2:20-24;

We believe in the sanctity of life from the moment of conception to the time of death.
Galatian 1:15; Psalms 22:10; 71:6; Psalm 72:14; Isaiah 43:4

We believe that unity in the body of Christ Jesus is essential. Jesus called us to love one another. All the members of the body do not look alike, yet together, we are the Body of Christ Jesus, called to build the Kingdom in harmony and agape love. John 17:11; Romans 12:1-13; Ephesian 4:1-6

CHRIST KINGSHIP

We acknowledge Christ as reigning Lord and Savior of the Kingdom of God and are willing to submit ourselves and all our activities to his will and good pleasure. Ephesian 1:22-23

LOST PEOPLE

In obedience with the great commission and under the guide of the Holy Spirit we will seek the lost using evangelism as the vehicle to guide them to repentance and belief in Christ. Matthew 28:19-20

AUTHENTIC WORSHIP

We desire to acknowledge the supreme nature, character and worthiness of God and will praise Him in our personal and corporate worship.

PRAYER

We will rely on prayer both privately and corporately in all areas of our ministry.

FAMILY

We believe family is the first institution established by God. It is symbolic of Christ Jesus relationship to the church. We also believe that the spiritual nurturing and developing of the family is God’s plan to increase the Christian faith to be used for kingdom building. I Tim:1-5

BIBLICAL TEACHING

We strive through the illumination of the Holy Spirit to teach the rightly divided Word of God with authority and integrity to those who are seeking to find a Savior, so that believers may grow in spiritual maturity and seek the right relationship with God. II Tim 3:16

COMMUNITY

We seek to be an active part of our community by being a witness and to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each person. Loving our neighbor as we love ourselves.

MINISTRY EXCELLENCE

We strive to maintain a high standard of excellence in all ministry activities through prayer and supplication and through biblical teaching from the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

We believe that God has given to every man at least one spiritual gift. We envision a ministry that provides an avenue for the saints of God to utilize their gifts and to grow in spiritual maturity and to use those gifts to glorify God.

SERVICE

We envision a ministry that will teach the saints to serve God through personal and corporate worship to have a true relationship with Jesus Christ so they may grow in grace and increase their faith and learn to depend on God.
